Aloha loyal and new readers! Sorry it's been a bit quiet around here and the shop. As with all things in life - just when you think it's going one way, it can turn in an instant and your whole world as you know it has changed completely. I'm still gathering my bearings in all of this so my etsy shop will currently be on hiatus until I'm able to get back to it. However, my work will still be available to purchase through my Society6 shop which has art prints, iPhone/iPad/Laptop cases, t-shirts, bags, etc.
I will be adding new work to my shop as often as I can. If you don't see a piece of mine that you would like to see in the shop or have any questions please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will look into adding it for purchase.
Given that I've been back in the residence of the Hawaiian Isles for almost a good 5 years now and not to mention my connections to the war following these events (my paternal grandfather fought on the American side in WWII) it is with a hint of embarassment that I admit - today was my first time in visiting Pearl Harbor and the Arizona War Memorial.
With a friend visiting from overseas it gave me a good chance to play tourist and cross another item off my bucket list and I'm so glad I did! A very moving and informative tour it was! To see the USS Arizona submerged and still leaching oil to this day and yet, life was still able to overcome and build a living reef on the actual wreckage with thriving fish swimming amongst it - if that's not a symbol for resiliance and hope I don't know what is!

I'm sorry, but how incredibly stylish and handsome were my grandparents?! (I know, I'm a bit biased... but still!) A great source of inspiration for sure and I love how they took the time to dress up a little back then.
