Just finished watching the Bill Cunningham New York documentary on Netflix streaming. All I can say is "wow". How truly fascinating it is to get a glimpse into the life of someone so truly passionate about what they do that it's never work for them. Dubbed the "original street style photographer", Bill Cunningham - he photographs the women of New York (and all over the world) for his column in the New York Times. He is constantly out and about - not interested in the women themselves but the clothes, the fashion, the art and style of it all. Filled with eccentricity and irony - his own lack of interest in fashion for himself - wearing his signature blue coat bought from a discount store usually worn by sanitation workers, Bill truly lives only for his art. Everything else is unnecessary.
